Norman Douglas Gleich Sr., age 69, passed away on April 5, 2026. Born May 14, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio. He attended and graduated from Westland High School Class of 1974. He moved to Logan, Ohio and then later to Lima, Ohio. He loved sports you could always find him on the ball field whether coaching or umpiring. He was an avid Reds, Browns and Ohio State fan. Doug also loved racing quarter midgets and watching Nascar. He enjoyed the outdoors and always had his baseball hat and sunglasses on. He also had a softer side and was incredibly kind and compassionate.
He is preceded in death by father, Donald L. Gleich, Sr. and mother, Shirley A. (Crosby) Taylor. He is survived by the love of his life and wife, Malonna Gleich, children, Stacey (Justin) Fox Rhoades, Douglas Gleich Jr., and Katie Hanna; grandchildren, Larkin, Isla, Finn, Adelynne, Jordyn, Joey, Leo and Katelynn; siblings, Donald (Sandy) Gleich Jr. and Tina Gleich Myers; brother in law and best friend, Phillip Myers; step siblings; Brenda St. Clair and Bill Taylor; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives, coworkers and friends as well as his 4 legged boy, Logan. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 11th from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Myers-Woodyard Funeral Home 587 Main St. Groveport, Ohio 43125. Family and friends will share a few words of remembrance around 4:30 pm.
