Norris Edward Eddie Shannon, age 87, went home to Jesus on September 9, 2024. He was born on May 7, 1937 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Cecil and Madge (Ball) Shannon. He was the sweetest, kindest and most gentle soul. Eddie was always ready to lend a hand to anyone who needed his help. Everyone loved Eddie. He loved The Ohio State Buckeyes and sports in general.

In addition to his parents, Eddie is preceded in death by his wife, Emily Louise Shannon; his brothers, Leroy and Tom, Jeff; his sisters, Betty Pack, Geneva Duke, Nancy Kemp and Karen Ryan; granddaughter, Naseana Kerns; great-grandson, Kingston Michael and son-in-law, Bruce Kerns.

Norris is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Hammond, Michele Kerns; step-children, Denise Bragg, Gregg (Cindi) Bradeis and Sherri Bradeis; grandchildren, Alexis (Joe) McCann, Joe Bradeis, Kayla Bragg, Josh Bradeis, Brianna Bradeis, Abby Bradeis, Haley Bradeis, Allyson Bradeis and Shannon May; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Cameron, Acacia, Makenzi, Zayden, Jacob and Jesse.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations be made to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 16, 2024, 6:00 PM - 08:00 PM and Tuesday, September 17, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Pfeifer Woodyard Funeral & Cremation Services, Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Service follows immediately after on Tuesday at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Mike Brue officiating. Burial will follow service at Glen Rest Memorial Estate with military honors.
