It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Orathai Syvilayrack; a loving daughter, mother, and grandmother. Orathai left this world peacefully on April 18th, 2026, at her home in Columbus, Ohio surrounded by her loved ones. Orathai was a kind and loving woman with no judgement, who you could always depend on no matter the circumstances. She welcomed everyone into her home with open arms, and she was there during times of happiness and times of sadness. She had a contagious laugh that could bring sunshine to a rainy day.

She is survived by her loving children; Po, May, Tic, and Chai; and her grandchildren:Tian, Devin, Dillon, Hayleigh, Dylan, Daelon, Nathan, Rylee, Kaden, and Titus. As well as her cousins and close friends, she led by example for generations that family goes beyond blood.

Orathai was not only a loving mother and grandmother, but she was also a role model,and she had a magnetic persona that brought together the community at her local Temple. She created an unforgettable, and comfortable environment through her acts of kindness. Orathai had a strong abundance of positive energy that was so powerful that it brought out the good and made it hard for the bad to stay away. She spent her day-to-day life with her children and grandchildren, along with tending to her garden, fishing and cooking for others. She left us beautiful memories and lessons that last a lifetime.

Although we can no longer be with you, we know you are in our hearts and have joined with your beloved husband to watch over us. As a mother's love and care, the teachings will pass through every generation. And for the final time we will also say Goodbye Maé, we love you forever.

A service will be held on Friday April 24th at 2pm at O.R Woodyard Co. South Chapel, 1346 S. High St. in Columbus, OH.
