Obituary

Panayota "Pitsa" G. Grammatikakis, age 94, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and godmother, passed away at home surrounded by family on March 7, 2024. Born in Molai, Greece on December 1, 1929, she immigrated to the US in 1973 where she became a master seamstress for Lazarus and Henri Bendel. Panayota is preceded in death by her husband, George; parents, Panayotis and Stamatiki Bouzounis; brother, Theodoros Bouzounis and sister, Dionysia Psyhogios. She is survived by her sons, Dimitri (Christine Demos) and Peter; brothers, John and Chris Bouzounis and sister, Vikki Strangas; numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren, as well as great nieces and nephews who she cherished. Family extends their appreciation to the entire Capital City Hospice team for their care and support. Calling hours will be held Monday, March 11 from 10:00 AM until the time of funeral service at 11:30 AM at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 555 N. High St. Columbus, Ohio 43215. Interment at Union Cemetery immediately following service. Family suggests donations in Panayota's memory be made to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
