Patricia Marjorie (Bruns) Jenkins, age 89, of Groveport, went home with the angels to our Lord, Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at The Inn at Winchester Trail. She was born March 25, 1937 in Logan, Ohio. Patricia, who was called Patty by her family and close friends, when meeting a new friend would introduce herself as "Pat the Rat and don't you forget that." She grew up in Perry County and went to Corning High School. She married Jerry Jenkins and they moved to Columbus where she was a homemaker, member of St. John the Evangelist Church and its PTA. Patty, along with other mothers, started a euchre club which has expanded, still meets monthly

and of which Patty was the last living original member. She was a member of the American Red Cross for 50 years and during the summer, taught swimming at Crystal and Millbrook Swimming Clubs. They moved their family to Groveport in 1970 where she continued to teach swimming at Jackson Lake Park. Patty worked as a mutuel clerk at Scioto Downs and Beulah Park from which she retired. Patty's house was the center of all holiday parties and family activies. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Groveport, St. Mary's Forever Young Club & Bells of St. Mary's Red Hat Society. She was also an avid Elvis fan and member of the Blue Hawaiian Ladies, Obetz Senior Center and Corning Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary #463 where Patty was a charter member. Patty is survived by daughters, Debby (Gary) Peck, Sherry Dorman, Tammy (Mark) Dorion;

"adopted" children, Rick, Robin, Brian & Crisi; sister-in-law, Judi Dennis; cousin, Bernice Deime; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren, 4 nieces. Preceded in death by Jerry, her loving husband of 54 years; parents, Walter & Hellen Bruns; in-laws, William & Lahoma Jenkins; son, William Walter Jenkins & uncle, Harry Bruns. Friends & family may visit Sunday, June 28, 4-7 p.m. at Myers-Woodyard Funeral Home, 587 Main St., Groveport. Prayer Vigil will be at 6:30 pm at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass to be held Monday, June 29, 11 a.m. with Father Richard Metzger officiating at Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary (formerly St. John's XXIII Church), 5170 Winchester Southern Rd. NW, Canal Winchester. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Jerry, at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens, 5802 Elder Rd., Canal Winchester. In lieu of flowers, please honor
