Patricia Mae Lanning, age 73, passed away on February 2, 2026. Patty was born on September 18, 1952 in Columbus, Ohio to Sylvester and Edith Drake. Post high school she received her Certificate in The Arts. Patricia worked as a Service Quality Specialist for HubPlastics, after retiring from her State of Ohio Rehab Services Commission (RSV) position.

She was a lover of everything spooky, Halloween being her favorite time of the year. Patty enjoyed working at the Haunted Hayride, drawing for fun, and her work with the State Rehab Services Commission. She made a family of friends while working for the State. At HubPlastics, Patty also made many friends who became family to her. She also loved music, and loved listening to all the classics. Patty was a quiet person, but was known to have a heart of gold to all that knew her. Her love will be greatly missed by all.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Edith Silvernail-Drake; her husband, James Hebert Lanning; her husband's parents, Lester and Kathleen (Crawford) Lanning; and her son, Michael John Lanning; and brother-in-law, Donald Drake.

She is survived by her children, Lisa A Kolarik, Troy Lanning, Tonya Younger; her grandchildren, Taylor Lanning, Kayla Lanning, Joshua, Billy; her sister-in-law, JoAnne West; her niece, Heather Wes; her nephew, Cory West; her grand-nieces: Brooke Lynn, Bianica, Brianna; her sister-in-law, Aunt Peggy; and brother-in-law, Bret Lanning; as well as numerous friends.

The gathering of family and friends will be held at Pfeifer Woodyard Funeral Home, 7915 E. Main St., Reynoldsburg, Ohio, from 2 - 4pm, with the Memorial Service scheduled for 4pm, all on Saturday, February 14, 2026.

Per Patricia's wished, she will be cremated.
