Phillip Randell
Johnson
Mar 14, 1953 — May 17, 2026
A loving remembrance of my dad born March 14, 1953
I am devastated to announce the sudden and unexpected passing of my dad Phillip R. Johnson. On Sunday May 17, 2026, we lost the most caring and loving man. He left this world on to a better place without suffering and without pain. He leaves behind his only child, Karen Johnson; his grandchildren, Shelby (Alex) Tigner, Bobby Souder Jr. (Kathy); and his only great grandchild, Jean Marie Souder; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends who loved him dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents, Shelby and Dorothy (Cramer) Johnson; his siblings, Lloyd Johnson, Nancy (Floyd) Hook, Nena (Gary) Brown, Roger Johnson; and by the love of his life Karen Welch. Although divorced, he never stopped loving her and they remained friends over the years. He was an expert auto-body man and mechanic never hesitating to help family and friends. He could build anything. If he didn't know how, he would figure it out. His last job was with Iatse local 12 Union. He loved working there setting up different concerts, and exhibits, of course the car shows and music concerts were his favorite. He loved music and playing his guitar. He loved watching his grandson be an great dad and watching Kathy be a great mom. He was so happy to see his granddaughter get married. He loved his daughter and would do anything for her happiness. He was always appreciated and greatly valued in this life. He will continue to be loved and deeply missed by many. Arrangements by O.R. Woodyard Co.
