Phillip R. Ramey, age 56, went to be with the lord on November 5, 2024. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 28, 1968 to his loving parents, Sandra K. Ramey and the late Phillip G. Ramey. He attended Marion-Franklin Highschool.
Phil is a life long member of the antiquing community, along with partnerships within several different auction houses and partner of Clintonville antique mall. His love of antiques extended to hot rods, classic cars and trucks. Growing up Phil's dad would take him to car shows which fueled his loved for classic cars. As he got older and had his own family, Phil decided it was time to share his love of cars with not only his wife, Grace, but his son, Brandon. Over the years they went to many a shows, the favorite being the "Good Guys" car show.
Phil was an avid painter, especially after the birth of his son Brandon. His main focus of art was "Folk" style painting, but he dappled in other styles as well such as terracota work, clay and 3D art pieces. The 3D pieces of art were some of his largest pieces, some standing over 6ft tall. Once Phil's style had developed he went on to have some of his pieces shown in galleries in the Short North. Most of the pieces were shown at the Weiss Gallery on East Lincoln St, which were later sold to raise money for charity. Phil's love of art also extended off of the canvas and into his home, he had created a custom aquarium scene made out of different mosacis along the bathroom walls
He is preceded in death by his father; sister, Sandra Jane Ramey; grandparents, Ross and Florence Ramey, Hubert and Elizabeth Young; aunts, Florence "Tony" Lorraine Ramey, Betty Jane Pentello, Grace Timmons; uncles, Jack and Lee Ramey.
He is survived by loving wife of 35 years, Grace E. (Lewis) Ramey; son, Brandon Ross Ramey; his loving fur baby, Puppy; siblings, Princess Kay (Mike Turner) Ramey-Turner, Phyllis (Curt) Branscom, Victor (Sarah) Ramey and Victoria (Brian) Bargo; nephews, Michael Ross Byrd and Jai Bryan Cutter
