BACHUS Rachel Mitchell Bachus, 82 of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on May 9, 2016. Rachel was born in Motherwell, Scotland on April 7, 1934. Rachel bravely came to the United States in 1957 to start a new life, where she met and married a sailor stationed in New Rochelle, NY on April 24, 1964; they were married 49 years. Rachel proudly became a citizen of the United States in 1968. She enjoyed gardening, bowling and spending time with friends, and she was a voracious reader. Rachel is survived by her children, Kelly (Michael) Thomas of Nashville, Jerry Bachus, Jr. of Westerville and Patricia Bachus of Columbus, as well as her beloved grandchildren, Rachael, Hannah, Conor, Brendan, Samuel, Nina and Haley. She had a loving network of extended family and friends. Rachel is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Bachus; sons, Raymond McClymont and Christopher Bachus. Visitation will be Thursday, May 12th from 5-8 PM at the MYERS-WOODYARD FUNERAL HOME 587 Main Street in Groveport where the funeral service will be Friday 12 Noon.
