Obituary

Rae Ann Warton, 78, went home to be with her Lord on August

29, 2026. Born April 13, 1948, Rae Ann had a deep and unwavering

faith in God that guided her life and brought so much love and joy to

those around her. As a pastor's wife for 48 years, she devoted her life

to serving Jesus in any way He directed. She served tirelessly in Ohio

churches at First Baptist Church Carroll, Coshocton Baptist Church,

Delaware Baptist Church, and for the last fifteen years at Rohr Road Baptist Church.

Rae Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Betty Allensworth,

her brother, Harvey Allensworth, and her daughter-in-law, Melissa Warton.

She is survived by her husband, David Warton, her two sons, David and

Stephen (Jeraldine) Warton, her only grandson, Lukas Warton, and countless

wonderful friends who held a very special place in her heart.

Rae Ann worked for the Ohio Bell Telephone Company for many years, then

upon the birth of her two children started a licensed home day care. Subsequently,

the Lord opened doors to develop and become the administrator of three rather large

church daycare centers: Toddler Inn at Delaware Baptist Ch 1991; Kids Club at

First Baptist Church Groveport 2003; and the Creekside Children's Center at

Rohr Road Baptist Church in 2014. The Lord granted her amazing wisdom to

see life and be a blessing to what seems like three diverse elements in any

daycare – the child's, the parents, and the staff's point of view.

Rae Ann had a very generous and loving heart. She displayed great compassion,

especially for children and adults with physical or emotional needs. As a pastor's wife,

she was willing to do any job in the church, especially the hard, unwanted tasks from

which others shied away.

Although his absence leaves an enormous void, there is comfort in knowing that Rae Ann

is now at peace, reunited with her parents and brother, and in the presence of the Lord

whom she loved and faithfully served.

"Well done, good and faithful servant."
