Ramona "Monie" Catherine Banaski, 96, passed away on May 5, 2025.  She was born August 22, 1928 in Martins Ferry, Ohio to Frank and Anna Beck.  Monie graduated from Warren Consolidated High School and Ohio University with a degree in Elementary Education.  She taught in the Buckeye Local School District for 22 years.  Monie was an avid Ohio State football fan and loved to play golf and cards (Euchre and "Hand and Foot"), go to dances with her husband, and bake sweets.  When living in her hometown of Tiltonsville, Ohio, she was an active member in the United Methodist Church and sang in the choir. She volunteered for several outreach organizations and was particularly active in the local hospital TWIG and the local volunteer fire department ladies auxiliary.

Along with her parents, Monie was preceded in death by her 5 siblings:  Thelma Campbell, Evelyn (Ben) Miller, Francis "Amy" (Zelda) Beck, Marian (Bill) Hawk, and Raymond (Essie) Beck.  She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Joe, her son and daughter-in-law Scott and Tina Banaski, grandsons Michael (Chelsey) and Nathan, great-grandson Roman and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 10am-11:30am at the Wesley Ridge Kimes Chapel, 2229 Taylor Park Drive, Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068.  Interment will occur at a later date at Upland Heights Cemetery, Yorkville, Ohio.
