Raymond L. Hite, age 94, of Canal Winchester, Ohio passed away peacefully at the Pickering House with his loving grandchildren by his side on December 28, 2021. He was born in Baltimore, Ohio on February 9, 1927 to the late John J. and Ives Snider Hite. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp and was a WWII veteran. His passion for aviation was second only to his family and his faith. He was retired from civil service at Lockbourne AFB. Ray is preceded in death by beloved wife of 70 years, Forona Landis Hite; brothers, Ralph and J. Franklin and sisters, Pauline and Jean. He is survived by son, Ronald (Frances) Hite; grandson, Scott Hite (Paula Parish and daughter, Harlee); granddaughter, Stacey (Rob) Pasternak; great grandson, Nathan Pasternak; brother, Russell Lowell (JoAnne) Hite; several nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Visitation will be Monday, January 3, 2022 at the Turnpoint Apostolic Church, 7718 Groveport Rd. from 4-7 p.m. where friends may also call 1 hour prior to the funeral service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
