Raymond "Ray" Charles Hough, age 64, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026,
surrounded by the love of his family. Born on February 1, 1962 in Columbus, Ohio to
William and Emma Hough.
Ray was a man who lived life to his fullest and found his greatest joy in family and friends.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: William "Bill" Hough, Clara "Moose"
Estep, Barbara "Barbs" Nolan, Catherine "Ginger" Tennihill, Howard "Buddy" Hough,
Clarence "Conk" Hough.
Ray is survived by his siblings, Russell "Rusty" Hough and Pamela "Pam" Bowen.
Rays spirit will live on through his wife of 40 years, Susan; his children, Raymond Tanner,
Michael (Amanda) Tanner, Tisha (Jon) Hough, Erika Hough and Kristin (Shannon) Hough;
his beloved grandchildren, Joshua (Cassie) Wiseman; Nathanial (Brooklyn), Austin, and
Alex (Destiny), Kyle (Cheyanne), and CourtneyTanner ; Jaelin (Kevin), Kameren and
Ryleigh Lowry; Mikalynn and Kadance Adkins; Nevaeh and Raylynn Deeds; and
Maverick Daniels; great grandchildren, Kayden, Kaelynn and Addilynn Wiseman;
Ryan and Adryan Tanner; Aria Tanner; Abigail and Bryson Tanner; Zeplin and Bowie Tanner;
Branson, Maya and Rayne and Bennett Harrison; numerous other family members including
multiple special nieces and nephews.
Ray had a passion for the open road and loved nothing more than riding his motorcycle.
He was equally content with a fishing pole in his hand, a pepsi, UDF coffee, and a cigarette.
Ray enjoyed listening to the sounds of classic rock, country music and a police scanner.
Above all Ray valued time spent with his family and friends, leaving behind a lifetime of
jokes, laughter, stories and unforgettable memories.
Family and friends may call at the O. R. WOODYARD COMPANY CHAPEL 1346 S. High
Street Tuesday, August 25, 2026 from 4:00 pm until time of his Celebration of Life Service
at 6:00 pm. Pastor Mike Vallangeon will conduct the service.
