Obituary

It is with saddened hearts that we announce that Rebecca Sue (Brehm) Fine, age 69, passed away in Columbus, OH, on November 30, two days before her 70th birthday.  She will be remembered as one with a giving heart and a love for children. Through her volunteer work, she was able to follow that passion. As a follower of Jesus Christ, she gave her all working for the Karl Road Christian Church in Columbus.  Becky served for 5 years in the Catholic Charities Americorps' Foster Grandparents program, three years at Forest Park Elementary and two years at Avalon Elementary.. She loved serving others and being around children.

Becky was born in Zanesville, Ohio on December 2, 1955 to Edward M. and Lois (Ryan) Brehm (later Haynes), and she graduated from Zanesville High School.  Later in life Becky lived in northern Virginia where she completed her bachelors of science from Strayer College.  She met David Fine while working at the Lewinsville Senior Residence, and they were married November 27, 1993.

Becky is survived by two of her sisters, Jean Ann Caywood (partner Al) and Patty Hankey, as well as her brother, Mike Brehm (Evelyn). Becky's passing is also mourned by many nieces and nephews, especially Jeremy Brehm, with whom she had a close relationship.

Preceding Becky in death are her parents, her husband, a younger sister, Bonnie Brehm Conway, and foster brother and sister, John Bond and Joyce Grant.

Do not stand

By my grave, and weep.

I am not there,

I do not sleep—

I am the thousand winds that blow

I am the diamond glints in snow

I am the sunlight on ripened grain,

I am the gentle, autumn rain.

As you awake with morning's hush,

I am the swift, up-flinging rush

Of quiet birds in circling flight,

I am the day transcending night.

Do not stand

By my grave, and cry—

I am not there,

I did not die.
