Our hearts are shattered as we share that our beautiful girl, Reese Nicole Hannigan, passed away suddenly on January 18, 2026.

Reese was born on January 22, 2021, in Columbus, Ohio, to Michael and Ashley (Jackson) Hannigan. From the moment she entered this world, she changed ours forever.

Reese never had spoken words, but her smile was her voice. When she gave it to you, it felt like a gift. You felt it in your chest and it reached deep into your soul.

She had just started pre-k and was riding the school bus. This was such a big and brave step for her. Watching her grow and step into new milestones meant more to us than we could ever explain.

Reese had a special love for Cocomelon, which brought her comfort and joy, even on her hardest days. You just had to make sure to skip season 5.

She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Tom Hannigan, and her uncles, Dustin Duncan and Jerry Ratcliff.

She leaves behind a family who will miss her every single day: her parents, Michael and Ashley Hannigan; her sisters, Kamryn, Shae, and Quinn; her brothers, Mikey, Lucas, A.J., and Jackson; her grandparents, Danny and Dianne Jackson, Mark and Beverly Bryan, Gwen Hannigan, and Lance and Tawnya Luther; great-grandparents William and Linda Luther; her aunts, Miami (Todd), Mindy (Travis), Taylor Johnson; her uncles, Shawn (Dena), Gary Jackson; special family friends, Jessica Brotman and Sara Rogers, and too many cousins to count.

We will always wish we had more time with Reese. But the love she poured into our lives will never leave us. For now, she is held safely in the arms of Jesus. And one day, by His grace, we will hold her again — and finally hear her beautiful voice.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, January 22, 2026 from 5 to 7 pm at Pfeifer Woodyard Funeral Home. Service begins immediately after at 7 pm.
