Rev. David E. Libby, age 59, went to be with the Lord surrounded by his family on Saturday, June 10, 2017. Born July 19, 1957 to Rev. Kenneth and Betty Libby in Gallipolis, Ohio. He graduated from Spring Valley High School, French Lick, IN., in 1975. He graduated Surgical First Assisting at National Institute of First Assisting, and studied Biblical studies at Christian Education at Andersonville Theological Seminary. Ordained Minister through Christian Baptist Association where he also served as District Superintendent for many years. He also worked at Mount Carmel for 30 years as a surgical first assist. He travelled and sang as a musical evangelist for most of his life with his family, The Libbys. He also was an avid bass player, song writer, and woodworker. Preceded in death by father, Kenneth Libby. Survived by loving wife of 39 years, Kathy; children, Shaun (Melissa), Nikki (Matt) Thomas; grandchildren, whom he so adored, Aubrey, Baylee, Connor, and one soon to be, Tyler Grace; mother, Betty; sister, Beth (Jamie) Bellomy; niece, Cecelia Bellomy; many other dear family, friends, and church family. Friends may call at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL 1346 S. High Street on Tuesday from 5 to 8 Pm and services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM at Columbus First Christian Baptist Church, 4185 Parsons Ave., Columbus. Interment at Fernwood Cemetery. Rev.
