Rex Elliott McDonald passed away on July 6, 2024 at the age of 52 in Westerville, Ohio.

Rex was a native of Groveport, Ohio, where he graduated from Groveport Madison Senior High. He was known for his deep love for the outdoors, often found fishing or kayaking. Music brought joy to his life, but nothing compared to the happiness he felt when spending time with his daughter. Rex was described by those who knew him as fun, full of life, and a great friend.

He is survived by his daughter, Madison; his longtime girlfriend, Penny Kunkle; his brother, Brian McDonald; Johnna McDonald, the mother of his daughter; his uncle, Tom (Ann) Wilson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Rex was preceded in death by his mother, Susan Wilson McDonald, and his grandparents, Wayne and Doris Lee Wilson.

Rex's legacy of joy and his passion for life will be remembered by all who knew him. His family and friends will miss him deeply.

He will be laid to rest at Hitler Ludwig Cemetery in Circleville, Ohio.
