Richard "Richy" Bonnell, age 57, passed away unexpectedly on October 1, 2022. He was born on July 16, 1965 in Canton, Ohio to the late William "Bill" and Lois (Keyser) Bonnell. Richy fell deeply in love with Sissy Crabtree while they were still teenagers and their lifelong love was one of a kind. Graduate of South High School Class of 1983. Richy made friends everywhere he went and never knew a stranger. He was willing to lend a helping hand to anyone and everyone he met. He loved his Deer Creek family and his Shasta work family who are all devastated by his loss. Richy was a Diehard Pittsburgh Steelers and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Lois; brother, Robert "Bobby," brothers-in-law, John Jordan, Roy Cassady, and Robert "Jr" Cassady, sister-in-law, Sharon Cassady, father and mother-in-law, Jay and Madge Crabtree, and special nephew, Eddie Cassady. Survived by his wife of 33 loving years, Sissy Bonnell; daughter, Ashley Bonnell; son, Austin Bonnell; grandchildren whom he adored and adored him, Jayden, Cali, and Carter; sister, Kimberly Jordan; brothers, Butch, Mike, Randy, Ronnie, and Rod; brothers-in-law, Gary, Kirby, Bill, and Brian; special nephews, Brad and Axel and many other nieces and nephews; other dear family and many special and close friends. He will be deeply missed by all. Friends may call from 2 PM to 6 PM on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at the O. R. Woodyard South Chapel, 1346 South High St, where the service will be held on Monday at 12 PM noon. Interment Fernwood Cemetery. Bob Blackburn officiating.
