Richard M. Hunt, age 72, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on Friday, February 20, 2015. He was born on April 13th, 1942 to William and Ethel Hunt of Lumberton, North Carolina. He was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed the company of close family and friends many of which he gave special nicknames. His greatest treasures were his daughters, grandchildren and dog, Hoppy. He was a hard worker and retired from Buckeye Steel Castings on the south side. His loss leaves us with many happy memories that we will cherish forever. He is preceded in death by his son Richard Lee Hunt and granddaughter Keiara Hunt Lay; his parents and brother JB Hunt and sisters Eleanor Miles, Florence Walters, Hallie Demery and Eula Mae Morris. Surviving are his former wife and mother of his children Nancy Hunt; daughters Teresa Hunt (Scott Hearon), Tina Hunt and Tara Hunt Lay (Keith Lay) ; grandchildren Tony Brunty, Taylor Hunt(Josh Clegg), Kristin Walker, Christian Carmona, Alyssa Hearon and Garrett Hearon; sisters Debra J. Hunt, Elizabeth Hunt and Willie Dell Dial; several nieces, nephews and friends; special friends the Hickman and Jackson families, Rose Almond and Reggie Washington. Friends may call at O. R.
