Richard Lee Lovsey, age 85 was welcomed home into the arms of the Lord on Saturday, April 20th, 2024 in Grove City, OH. He was born March 17th, 1939 in Athens OH to the late George Lovsey and Hazel Byers.

Richard had a love for hunting and anything to do with being outdoors. NASCAR and racing was also another passion of his. Richard worked with sheet metal for 30 years along with driving semis.Member of the Local Sheetworkers #24. Richard was an amazing husband, father, grandpa, uncle, cousin, and friend to all.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 35 wonderful years, Janet Lovsey; brothers, Chuck (Linda) Lovsey, Warren Lovsey; daughters, Kaye (Jeff) Morrow, Tami (John) Crum; son, Rick Lovsey; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Apart from his parents, Richard is preceded in death by his siblings; Jack (Sally) Lovsey, George (Brigitte) Lovsey, Paul (Wanda) Lovsey, Betty (Junior) Phillips, Esther (Jim) Barrowman, Shirley Dean, Marie & Mildred Lovsey.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 24th at 5 p.m. until time of funeral service 7 p.m. at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. South Chapel, 1346 S. High St. in Columbus, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Echo Hospice of Ohio.
