Rita Stearns, age 75, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully on May 8, 2024. She was born on July 26, 1948 to the late Freda and Marion Mullins. Rita lived her life as a housewife, raising four boys and helping to raise multiple others.

Rita is survived by her husband Bobbie Stearns; sons, David (Annie) Stearns, Richard (Beth) Stearns, and Danny (Tosha) Stearns. She has multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren; one special niece, Tina Stinson; family and friends.

Preceded in death by mother, Freda Mullins; father, Marion Mullins; sister, Marilyn Deboard; and son, Bobby Stearns Jr.

Friends and family may call on Monday, May 13, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the O.R. Woodyard Co. Funeral Home, located at 1346 S. High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43207. The funeral service will immediately follow at noon. Pastor Patricia Wycuff officiating. Burial will follow at the Harrison Township Cemetery, Ashville, OH.
