Robert G. Andrews (Bob), aged 92, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026, with his high school sweetheart and beloved wife of 70 years, Peg, by his side. A man of remarkable integrity, devotion, and community spirit, Robert leaves behind a profound legacy of love for his family and dedicated service to his community.

Bob was born in Canton, Ohio, to Dr. Lloyd Frederick and Gertrude Susan Andrews. He and his wife started and raised their family in Euclid, Ohio, then moved to Norwalk, Ohio. He was able to retire to Fort Myers, Florida, where he lived with his wife, Peg.

Bob dedicated his entire professional career to National City Bank (now PNC). He began his journey with the bank in Cleveland, Ohio, after graduating from the Ohio State University. His career culminated in Norwalk, Ohio, where he served with distinction as the President of PNC Bank until his retirement in 1997.

Beyond his corporate success, Bob was deeply invested in the growth and well-being of the communities he called home. He was an active and influential leader in a variety of civic and corporate organizations, generously giving his time to the Jaycees, Kiwanis, the Fisher-Titus Hospital Foundation, the Norwalk Economic Development Council, and serving on the Norwalk Public Library Board of Trustees. His leadership helped shape the local landscape and improved the lives of many.

Above all his professional achievements, Bob's greatest pride and joy was his family. He shared seven decades of deep love and partnership with his wife, building a vibrant family that continues to honor his values.

He is survived by his devoted children: Debra (Charles) Taylor, Denise (Dale) Ringerwole, Diane Andrews Hagan, and Jeffrey Robert Andrews. His legacy also lives on through his seven grandchildren, Chad (Chelsea) Taylor, Kristin (Tyler) Wenger, Grant (Whitney) Ringerwole, William (Sami) Schlett, Neal (Karina) Ringerwole, Kathryn Hagan, and Emily Hagan and seven great-grandchildren, who brought immense happiness to his later years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Lloyd and Gertrude Andrews; brother Dr. Jim Andrews; his parents-in-law, Francis and Ann Dray; and his son-in-law, Donald Hagan.

Calling hours will be on Monday, June 8th, starting at 9:30 am, with the funeral following at 10:30 am at O.R. Woodyard Co. Northwest Chapel, 2990 Bethel Rd., Columbus, Ohio.
