Robert L. Barnes, age 75, passed on Labor Day September 2, 2024. He was born on January 14, 1949 in Port Gibson, Mississippi to Frank and Verla (Warner) Barnes. Robert was a graduate of Addison High School in Port Gibson, and kept in touch with many of his classmates. Robert served honorably as a Sergeant in the Army and maintained military tanks and played baseball for the military as well. He worked as a Foreman of Material Handling for Crane Plastics for 36 years before retiring .

Robert is survived by his wife, Jo Anne Jodi (Collier) Barnes; his sons, Robert (Felicia) Cauley, Troy Barnes and LeAngelo Barnes; sister, Mattie Barnes, Mississippi; brother, Melvin Barnes; and a host of many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his brothers, Wendell Barnes Sr. and Frank Barnes Jr.; step-mother, Anna Barnes; two sisters-in-law, Annette Susie Barnes and Patty Barnes.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2024, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Pfeifer Woodyard Funeral Home in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Service follows at 7 PM, with Elder Ed McKee officiating.
