Robert L. Brown was born on November 4, 1948 to Robert D. Fosnaugh and Hattie M. Spencer. He had 3 sisters, Sandra Layne, Louise Brown and Pamela May. He had 2 brothers, Ronald L. Brown and Charles Brown.
Robert married Sylvia A. (Swank) Brown. They were together 57 years.
Robert and Sylvia were the parents of 4 children. Kerri L (Brown) Burge (Will), Robert L. Brown (Jessy) , Lori A. (Brown) Wood and Tracy A. Brown.
They are grandparents to 18 grandchildren, Kristopher A. Holden, James M. Boring Sr., Jessica M. (Boring) Kaiser, Kayla L. Boring, Anthony J. Morgan, Patrick K. Morgan, Chase E V M Brown, Renee L. Hought, Jason A. Chafin, Kelly M. Brown, Kimberly M (Wood) Tatman, Jami R. Wood, Samantha A (Brown) Hutchinson, Jacob A. Brown, Auistin M. Brown, Amber kVan Buren, Bryan A. Troutt, Eric A. Troutt.
He was the great grandpa to 30 children, Kayla, Sarah, Andrew, Kory, Nataly, Evan, Peyton, James Jr., Kira, Layla, Gavin, Kaelyn, Lee, NovaLee, Zuriah, Nasir, Amir, Jalaila, Jeremiah, Becca, Lorelei, Evelyn, Konnor, Alyssa, Kylor, Kellen, Trinity, Noah, Arabelle, Haylen, Payden, and arriving in May is Cayden.
He had 1 great great grandchild, Azlin.
Robert was a truck driver. He loved going out on the road and delivering stuff and meeting new people and telling us stories about it. He drove truck until he had his heart attack in 2002 and retired. He drove a tow truck for Columbus Police Dept. and Larry's Towing. He and Sylvia were totally devoted to each other and their family. He loved Football and the Cleveland Browns. He loved racing. He loved going on Saturday night and watching his oldest son, Bobb race his go carts. But he just loved talking to everyone and making jokes.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia A. Brown; parents, Robert Fosnaugh and Hattie Spencer; step father, Charles Spencer; sisters, Sandra and Louise and both of his brothers, Ronald and Charles; son, Tracy; granddaughters, Kayla and Renee; great grandson, Jeremiah.
Visitation will be Monday, January 13, 2025 from 5pm to 8 pm at the O. R. WOODYARD COMPANY CHAPEL 1346 S. High Street in Columbus. Then from 10 am until time of service at 11 am on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. Burial will follow at Community Gardens Cemetery, Somerset, Ohio.
