Robert Carter
Fischer, Jr.

ROBERT CARTER FISCHER, JR. (ROB)
May 25, 1956 – October 2, 2025
Lancaster, Ohio
Robert Carter Fischer, Jr. (Rob), 69, of Lancaster, Ohio, unexpectedly passed away on October 2,
2025. Born May 25, 1956, in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of the late Robert C. Fischer, Sr. and Helen
Jean Rowe.
He was a graduate of Groveport Madison High School and went on to earn his degree, graduating cum
laude, from The Ohio State University's Fisher College of Business. He honorably served his country in
the United States Navy before beginning a long and successful career as a Senior Quality Control
Manager, admired for his sharp mind, high standards, and steady leadership.
Rob was known for his intelligence, humor, and generous heart. He loved learning new things and
finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was happiest outdoors—whether fishing on a quiet lake,
hunting in the woods, or mowing his land with music playing and a beer in hand. Caring for his property
was his peace, and even in his final days, his biggest concern was that his grass was just right. He
loved the chase of a good deal, never passed up an auction, and was a collector with passion and care.
Beneath his practicality, Rob was deeply sentimental and devoted to his family and friends.
Rob is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Thomas, and his son, Craig Fischer; his beloved fiancée,
Terri Hennen; his grandchildren, Blake and Carter Fischer; his honorary grandson, Justin Sword; and
his sisters, Debbie and Joan Fischer.
Rob will be remembered for his humor, generosity, and unwavering Buckeye spirit. Whether watching a
game, wearing his scarlet and gray, or cheering on Ohio State with family, his loyalty to the Buckeyes
never wavered. His memory will live on in the laughter of his family, the ripple of the lakes he loved, and
every echo of "Go Bucks" heard on a fall Saturday.
"Gone fishing one last time, but never forgotten."
