Roy "Tick" Marcum, age 89, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at his residence in Columbus, OH. Roy was born September 16, 1936, in Inez, KY to the late James and Minnie Marcum. He was a proud member of Iron Workers Local 172. Roy loved to tinker on anything with a small engine, especially lawn mowers. He also enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and bowling. He is in the Bowler's Hall-of-Fame for getting a perfect 300. He was a loving husband, dad, papaw, brother, and friend to everyone. Roy is preceded in death by his wife, Louise Marcum; daughter, Penny; and grandson Timothy. He is survived by his wife Sally; daughters, Minnie Faye and Amanda; stepdaughter, Mary; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Flo, Melvie, and Ruthie; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 24, 2025 from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. at the O.R. WOODAYARD CO. South Chapel, 1346 S. High St. in Columbus, OH. Rev. James Steuber officiating. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, OH.
