Ruby E. Hairston passed away Monday, April 4, 2011. She was born May 27, 1915 in Columbus, Ohio. She was preceded in death by parents Yates G. and Charlotte C. Williams, husband Kenneth M. Hairston, brother Halroy Williams, sister Josephine Landrum, grandson Mark K. A. Williams. Survived by son, Halroy C. Williams, Rancho Mirage, California; granddaughter, Teri Williams-Smith, Silver Springs, Maryland; grandson, Major Halroy C. D. Williams (USAF-Ret.), Corona, California; great-grandchildren, Mark A. D. Williams, Jonathan C. K. Williams and Taylor C. B. Smith; great-great-grandchild, Samara Jane Williams; favorite nephew, Don Gales, Gahanna, Ohio; special friend, Charlotte Walker; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. A Home Going Celebration will be conducted Saturday, April 16th, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the WOODYARD EAST CHAPEL, 2300 E. Livingston Avenue where visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
