In the wee morning hours of Memorial Day 2025 our family matriarch, Ruth Jarrell, age 92, drew her last breath at home, adorned in purple, holding her daughter's hand. Ruth lived a long, full life and will be remembered as an icon with a beehive darting around in her purple Camaro and doting on her many offspring. Preceded in death by adoring husband Arthur, daughter Barbara Jean Borror, grandson Billy Reed, sister Christine Berchtold and brothers Carl, Fred, and Hobert Stepp Jr. Survived by daughters Phyllis (Bob) Reed, and Janet Webb, sons Arthur Shawn Jarrell and Eddie Webb; grandchildren Aletta (Doug) Merz, Anna (Todd) Kirby, Amy (Bill) Dobson,  Ralph C. Merz III, Britt Reed, Ciarra and Sofia Jarrell; great-grandchildren Ruth, Ralph IV, and Russell Merz, Aidan Barnard, Ava Houk, sisters Lois Jean Parsley, Alene Cline; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am, with Reflection & Memories at 1:00 pm on Monday, June 2nd at the O.R. Woodyard Co. Funeral Home 1346 S. High Street Columbus, Ohio. Graveside committal service to follow, 2:00 pm at Green Lawn Cemetery, 1000 Greenlawn Avenue, Columbus, Ohio.
