Sally Ann Ogle of Etna Ohio unexpectedly passed away Wednesday September 4th, 2024 of natural causes. She was 75 years young. Sally was born on October 2nd, 1948 in Henley Ohio, the ninth of sixteen children to the late Lorenzo "Doc" Hensley and Marinda "Minnie" Hensley. Sally moved to Columbus Ohio as a young adult where she met and married her first husband Paul Hill in 1969. They had their son Phillip Lee Hill together in 1977 before Paul's untimely death in 1981. Sally went on to re-marry Charles "Chuck"Ogle and they had two daughters together Margie born in 1984 and Ashley born in 1986. Sally was a single mother for many years and a very hard worker. She prided herself on her strong worth ethic. While her children were young, Sally did many odd jobs to support her young family. She later worked for the Kroger company until her retirement in 2015. Sally moved to Etna Ohio in 2005. Her home became a place where she expressed her love for nature. Sally was always very active and independent. She spent most of her free time outside gardening and was well known for her green thumb. She had a vegetable garden every summer and a variety of beautiful flowers and other plants. In her last several years, Sally enjoyed the company of her chickens, several family cats and her beloved dog Birdie whom she spent 14 loving years with. She enjoyed bird watching, sitting in her woods, reading her Bible and just being at home. She was always up for playing a round of cards.  She was known to be a bit feisty and slightly competitive in 500 Rummy and Euchre. She loved reading books and building forts with her grandkids, and teaching them to play checkers, tic tac toe, The matching game, bible verse trivia, and uno, "you know". She was known as Sally, Mom, and her favorite name Mammaw. Sally was preceded in death by her mother & father, siblings Gladys, Thelma, Ola Mae, Bill, Floyd, and Luke, also both her late Husband Paul Hill, and ex husband Chuck Ogle. She is survived by siblings Leonard, Lula, LD, Elenor, Goldie, and Daisy, along with her three children and their significant others, Phillip Hill (Sarah Hill), Margie Ogle (Michael Moore), and Ashley Hetzer (Benjamin Hetzer), her six beautiful grandchildren Isabella (Izzy), Charlotte (Charlee), Barrett, Ezekiel (Zeke) Vivienne, and Titus James (TJ), her best friend from childhood Don Kirk, and many other loved ones, nieces, nephews, close family, and friends who loved her dearly. Her loss has been uncomparable. Her warmth and love will be missed immensely. We hope you will remember her authenticity, her quirky one liners, her remarkable sense of wonder, her yummy country breakfasts, and her unwavering faith, but most importantly her beautiful heart and willingness to do for others.

A memorial service in honor of Sally's life will be held on Friday, September 27th, from 5:30-8pm at New Life Church, 3690 N. Stygler Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230. All are welcome to attend and encouraged to celebrate her life together with family and friends.
