Sandra M. Blair (Sandy), age 73, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2021. Her brave battle with cancer showed her courage in facing life's challenges head on. She was born on May 23, 1948 in Jeremiah, KY to the late Fess O. and Mary M. (nee Watts) Blair. She was a devoted member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Worthington, Ohio. Sandy was a teacher in the Jonathan Alder school district for 20 years. She loved spending time with her family, gardening and going antique shopping. In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her brother, Fess Owen Blair and brother-in-law, Pat Braden. Sandy is survived by her children: Kelly (Michael) Stanley, Michael (Kristall) Day; and Brendan O'Ryan; former daughter-in-law, Jayne O'Ryan; grandchildren: Jennifer (Nicholas) Heller, Shylynn Stanley, Weston and Sadie Day, and Kian and Liam O'Ryan; great-grandchildren: Riley, Mackenzie, Odin, and Eden Heller. Sandy is also survived by siblings: Lynn Braden, Roy (Linda) Blair, and Ronald (Dawn) Blair; along with numerous other family and friends. Memorial service 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 1, 2021 at St. John's Episcopal Church-Worthington, 700 High St. Worthington, OH 43085. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Special thanks to Dr. Peter J. Kourlas, M.D., the Sanctuary at Tuttle Crossing, and Ohio Health Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Columbus Humane Society.
