Sandra Lea Thomas, age 84, of Blacklick, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. Sandy was born on August 18, 1940, to the late Roy Alfred and Dorothy Mae (McDaniel) Vaughn in Newark, Ohio. She was a graduate of Newark High School. Sandy was a Christian and long-time member of New Life Church in Gahanna where she served many years as an Awana leader. She loved being a homemaker and later making ice cream treats at the Dairy Queen. She was a loving wife to her husband, Alan, for 56 years. She was a devoted, nurturing mom and a proud, adoring grandma.

She is survived by daughters, Sherie Thomas, Renee (David) Fraley; grandchildren, Joshua (Leah) Fraley and Nathan (Jordan) Fraley; great-grandchild, Cecilia Fraley; sisters, Sylvia Seaman, Diane Darnes; sister-in-law, Sue Thomas; and many nieces and nephews.

Sandy is preceded in death by her husband, Alan Thomas; daughter, Michele Thomas; sister, Patricia Glass; sister-in-law, Ruth Scales; brothers-in-law, Richard Glass, Ron Seaman, Kevin Darnes, and Bill, Glen, and John Thomas; and nephew Kyle Darnes.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024, from 11 am – 1 pm at Pfeifer Woodyard Funeral Chapel, 7915 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068, where funeral services will immediately follow, with Pastor Claude Davis officiating.
