Obituary

Seltzer "Sonny" A. Shalosky passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on February 10, 2025. He was born to the late Earl and Betty (Miller) Shalosky in Mansfield Ohio on September 20, 1941.

After graduating high school, he attended seminary school for two years before deciding to serve in the US Air Force for 5 years. Sonny was always known for his deep Catholic faith and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a family man, a truly loving father, and a faithful husband of 55 years to his beloved wife, Loretta Shalosky. Sonny retired from the City of Columbus Municipal Garage working 30 years as an automotive mechanic.

Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Earl, his brother, Frank and Roger; and his grandkids, Austin and Ashley. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Loretta, his sister Bertha "Sis", his brothers, Tim, Mark, and Dan; his sons, Martin (Terri), Philip (Rachel), and Andrew; his grandkids, Zachary, Colby, Sebastian, Rayonna, Kamerion, Luke, Lexi, Abbigayle, Donna, Leonna, Austyn, and Emma; and great grandchild, Archer.

Visitation is scheduled for Monday, February 17, 2025 from 6 to 8 PM, at Pfeifer Woodyard Funeral Home in Reynoldsburg. Mass of Christian Burial is Tuesday, February 18 at 11 AM, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1051 Waggoner Rd, Reynoldsburg, Ohio (come down from Broad St), with burial following at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Pataskala.

Memorial lunch will follow at St. Pius X Catholic Church Community Center. All are welcome.
