Obituary

Sharon "Sissy" Jean Ray, age 70, passed away surrounded by family on December 11, 2020. She was born in Columbus, OH to the late James and Mildred (Fairbanks) Jarvis Sr. Sissy had a kind and loving heart and always looked for ways she could help others. She loved playing Bingo and crocheting gifts for her family, especially when she heard there would be a new addition to the family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Michael Ray, parents, James and Mildred, brothers, Ernest and James Jr., and sister-in-law, Anita. Sissy is survived by her daughters, Shelly (Scott) Jackson and Trina Ray; grandchildren, Scott, Matthew, and Paetton Jackson and Ashlynn Walker; special cousin, Bonnie (Kelsie) Rummer; fur baby, Chloe; and many other nieces, nephews, dear friends and family. Friends may call from 1 PM until time of service at 2:30 PM at the Myers-Woodyard Funeral Home, 587 Main St. in Groveport, OH. Pastor Ron Goodling officiating. Interment Walnut Hill Cemetery. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Heartland Hospice for the exceptional care they showed. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sissy's name may be made to the American Cancer Society through www.cancer.org or to Heartland Hospice, 6500 Busch Boulevard, Suite 210, Columbus, OH 43229. Due to the COVID-19 situation, masks and social distancing are required.
