Obituary

Sharon Joan Schick, age 79, passed away on April 17, 2026. Born on December 29, 1946 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Shirley Ann Smith. She was a graduate of Columbus North High School. Sharon worked in accounting for the Marcoin Business Services of Pickerington, Ohio for many years. She was married to John Schick for almost 55 years, who survives.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Robert H. and Shirley Ann Roelle; son, Paul Michael Schick; and brother Dale L. Roelle.

She is survived by husband, John Raymond Schick; sisters, Vicki Whalen, Carol (Stan) Rodock, Mary (Tom) Marsh, and Elizabeth (Darroll) Longbrake; brothers, Robert (Deb) Roelle, and Mark (Dianna) Roelle; son, Raymond (Peggy) Schick; and daughter, Donja Schick; and by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews .

Sharon was one who had many interests and likes. She was known as an animal lover, who doted after her cats, most recently Pepper. She was an insatiable reader who enjoyed sharing all the stories she enjoyed with her family, often drawing connections from the themes to real life. She enjoyed her shows with her family like Yellowstone, Survivor, and many detective shows. Her memory was so good in remembering special family times together, whether traveling to Myrtle Beach--which she loved, watching TV shows, the special personalities of her pets, or special family and life events. Sharon had great listening skills, which helped her achieve the real honor of becoming the Matriarch of her family. She loved, loved, LOVED family.

The family requests friends and relatives to join them in celebrating Sharon's life on Friday, May 1, 2026 from 1 to 4 pm at the Pfeifer Woodyard Funeral Home in Reynoldsburg, Ohio on E. Main St. There will be a time of sharing allotted prior to 3:30 pm.
