Shawn "Swoop" M. Conley, age 50, passed away Monday, December 30, 2024 in Columbus, OH. Shawn was born August 31, 1974 in Columbus, OH to Cornelius "Joe" and Nancy Conley. Shawn was well known in the skydiving community. His hobby evolved into a career with Complete Parachute Solutions. Shawn was able to travel to 38 countries on 6 continents selling parachutes, equipment, and providing professional training. Shawn is preceded in death by his grandparents, Bert and Leora Kirby, and Thomas and Anne Conley; aunt, Cheryl Crivea; uncle, Tommy Conley; and aunt, Karen Conley. He is survived by his parents, Joe and Nancy Conley; siblings, Scott (Trish) Conley, Phil (Samantha) Conley, Matt (Rachel) Sunday, and Sarah Sunday; nieces and nephews, Jake, Ryan, Ethan, and Scarlett; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends around the globe. Visitation will be Sunday, January 5, 2025 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. South Chapel, 1346 S. High St. in Columbus, OH, where funeral service will be Monday, January 6, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. Luke Rininger will officiate.
