She grew up in Gahanna, Ohio, and attended Gahanna Lincoln High School. Sherie was a free spirit who loved the outdoors and found peace under the sun and by the ocean. She was a devoted football fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Bengals. She had a deep love for animals. Her cats had a special place in her heart, and there was always room for one more.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Myrta Bell Thomas and Roy and Dorothy Vaughn; parents, Alan and Sandy Thomas; and sister, Michele Thomas. Many aunts, uncles, and cousins are also welcoming her in Heaven.
