Obituary

Born March 8, 1943 in Matewan, West Virginia to the late Jake and Rosie Cline. She was preceded in death by her sister Emma Jean Mellon and her brother Ervin Cline. She is survived by two sisters Ella Ward of Columbus, Ohio, Judy (Larry) Christian of Lancaster, Ohio and one brother David (Dreama) Cline of Newark, Ohio. She had one daughter Tammy (Joseph) Lacey of Groveport, Ohio. She had five grandchildren, Jeannie and Michael Hennessee, Joshua, Joseph and Jonathon Lacey and one special niece, Delaney Cline, who she always said felt more like her granddaughter than her niece. She had one great granddaughter, Courtney. She has several nieces and nephews. Most of who will tell you that she was more like a Mother to them than an Aunt. Very few called her by Shirley she was simply known as Shuck to most a name endeared to her by her siblings as a child that stuck. Shirley was a very kind hearted and loving person. If she loved you, you knew it and it was for life. She fought with everything she had to overcome illness and live but in the end her body was just too weak. We will miss her dearly as the days ahead of us come and go but we know in our hearts that heaven gained another angel when she passed. She was a simple person with simple needs who worked hard in her life. She loved her family more than life and this is what truly mattered to her, not the things that could be possessed of this world. Friends may call at O.R. Woodyard Co. Chapel at 1346 S.
