Shirley Mae Doyle Krokum, age 91, of Blacklick, Ohio, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025. She was born May 4, 1933, in Duluth, Minnesota to Felix John and Lila (Billie) Beatrice (Higgins) Doyle.

Shirley lived her life to the fullest, marching with her Proctor High School Band in the Junior Rosebowl Parade as a teenager, dealing blackjack and supervising Keno at Harveys Casino in South Lake Tahoe, camping, canoeing, swimming and visiting the Sacramento State Fair every year.

Her father worked on the railroad, so Shirley loved anything having to do with trains. She and her sister traveled extensively by train. She was also an avid coin collector, polished photographer and excellent cook. Shirley loved new adventures and kissed the Blarney Stone when she was 79!  Shirley was always on the go and seemed to excel at everything she put her mind to.

Shirley is survived by her children, Cynthia (Stan) Donnan, Steven (Vicki) Cannon, Trent Krokum, Scott Krokum; sister Phyllis Jensen; grandchildren Brendon (Cassie) Donnan, Crystal (Jody) Green, Betty (Andrew) Bogue, James Krokum, Andrew Krokum and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving kitty, Betsy, who was always on her lap.

A celebration of Shirley's life will be held at Pfeifer-Woodyard Funeral Home at 7915 E Main St, Reynoldsburg, OH 43068 on January 30th at 4PM, with a service officiated by Chaplain, Dr. Mark Arni, officiating.
