Stephen N. Thornborough, 82, of Columbus, died peacefully in his home on Sunday, March 17, 2024. Steve was born November 27, 1941 in Columbus. He graduated from North High School in 1959. An avid Buckeye football & basketball fan, he received a bachelor's in accounting from The Ohio State University. Over his long career, he managed a wide range of businesses including Good Home Maintenance (GHM inc.), Borough Company, and Thornborough Farms. He enjoyed traveling overseas, fishing, boating, gardening, and spending time at his condo in Naples. He was a proud member of the Aladdin Shrine of Columbus and YBMC. But more than anything, he was extremely proud of his son, Mike, and his grandchildren, Brandon and Haley.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Evelyn; and his brother, Jack. He is survived by his son, Michael (Peggy); grandchildren, Brandon and Haley; sister-in-law, Janice McLean; nieces, Kathryn Thornborough (Gabe Poling) and Sarah Thornborough (Josh Levinson); and a host of friends.

A special thanks to the entire medical staff of Home Helpers and Hospice of Central Ohio. A Celebration of Life gathering for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 22 from 9-11am at O.R. Woodyard Northwest Chapel 2990 Bethel Road in Columbus. Private graveside service will be for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio.
