Susan Joyce Schmelzer, age 68, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital. Member of Grove City American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Preceded in death by parents, Curtis and Susan Byas; brother, Jimmy Byas. Survived by husband, Gilbert; daughters, Kimberly ( Phil) Hankins, Joyce (Donny) Triplett and Billie (Charles) VanGundy; step-children, Lanette (Jay) Falls, Len Schmelzer; grandchildren, Jonathon (Stacey) Triplett, Alex VanGundy, Allyson VanGundy, Lauren Hankins, Zach VanGundy and Lyndsey Hankins; step-grandchildren, Josh Schmelzer, Jeremy Walker, Lindsey and Linden; great granddaughter, Julia Triplett; sisters, Martha Walker, Rosemary (Mitchell) Walker, Linda Maynard, Gail Maynard; brother, Mike Byas; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
