Sylvia A (Swank) Brown was born on March 16, 1951 to Clyde V. and Vina Swank. She was the 3rd child of 12 children. She had 3 sisters Rose Mary Baird, Guyla Jean Deal, and Brenda Sue Gleason. She had 8 brothers Clyde "Buddy" Vernon Swank Jr., Henry "Sonny" Abraham Swank, Ronnie Lee Swank, Donnie Lee Swank, Herbert Allen Swank, David Leon Swank, Michael Dean Cheadle, Ricky Edward Swank.

Sylvia married Robert Lee Brown. And they were together for 57 years.

Sylvia is the mother of 4 children Kerri Lea (Brown)Smith, Robert Leroy Brown, Lori Ann (Brown) Wood, and Tracy Allen Brown.

Sylvia was the grandmother of 17 grandchildren Kristopher Adam Holden, James Michael Boring Sr, Jessica Marie (Boring) Kaiser, Kayla Leann Boring, Anthony James Morgan, Patrick Kenneth Morgan, Chase Emily Vivian Michelle Brown, Renee Lynn Hought, Jason Andrew Chafin, Kelly Michael Brown, Kimberly Michelle Tatman, Jami Rene Wood, Samantha Ann Hutchinson, Jacob Allen Brown, Austin Michael Brown, Amber Van Buren, Bryan Avery Troutt, Eric Allen Troutt.

Sylvia was the Great Grandmother (Gigi and Memaw) of 23+ children Kayla, Sarah, Andrew, Kory, Nataly, Evan, Peyton, James Jr., Kira, Gavin, Layla, Kaelyn, Lee, Nova Lee, Zuriah, Nasir, Amir, Jalaila, Jeremiah, Becca, Lorelei, Evelyn, Konnor, Alyssa, Kylor, Kellen, Trinity, Noah and Arabelle, Haylen, and many more.

She had 1 great great grandchild Azlin Marie Hendershot.

Sylvia was a Nursing Assistant as a profession until she was hurt on the job. She then devoted her whole life to the children she would have and their children. She was a devoted wife to Robert. And did all she could to make everyone around her lives a little better and was always there to talk to and give advice. She was a second mother to many of her children's friends and they were

always welcome at her home and never treated any differently than her own children.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Clyde Sr. and Vina, 2 older sister Rose Mary and Guyla Jean and 6 of her brothers Buddy, Sonny, Ronnie, Donnie, Herbie and David. Her son Tracy A. Brown, her granddaughters Kayla Leann, Renee Lynn and her great grandson Jeremiah.

Visitation will be Monday March 18, 2024 from 5 pm until 8 pm at the O. R. WOODYARD COMPANY CHAPEL 1346 S. High Street in Columbus and from 10 am until time of the service at 11 am on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. Interment will follow the service at Community Gardens Cemetery, Somerset, Ohio.
