Talmage "TT" Mabry, 83, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026, following a long illness. Born in Moorehead, Kentucky, to the late Hobert and Maxie Mabry of Greenup, Kentucky. Talmage carried the hardworking spirit of his Kentucky roots throughout his entire life.

A dedicated provider, Talmage retired from the C&O Railroad after 45 years of loyal service. His work ethic was legendary; in his younger years, he spent seasons picking apples in Michigan-famously picking 100 bushels in a single day-and often joked about being the only person who actually enjoyed the freezing temperatures of the meatpacking plant where he worked.

Outside of work, Talmage was a man of many passions. He was a proud backyard beekeeper, an avid gardener, and a faithful member of the South Columbus Freewill Baptist Church. For nine years, he, his wife Connie, and their little dog Ginger were familiar faces at Deer Creek State Park, where they served as camp hosts. Talmage found great joy in the outdoors and the soul-stirring sounds of live bluegrass music at festivals. Above all, he was a "silly jokester" and a master storyteller. His family will forever cherish the tales he told, holding them close to their hearts.

Talmage is survived by his loving wife of nearly 62 years, Connie (Abdon) Mabry; his children, Angela Bloomfield, Pamela Mabry, and Anthony (Dianne) Mabry; and his sister, Kay (Greg Clark) Rife. He was a proud "Papaw" to Britney, Dustin, and Austin Bloomfield, Amanda Johnson (who was truly his "right-hand man"), Brandon Coleman, Natalie, and Alex Mabry; and a "Great-Papaw" to Austin Bloomfield II. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Chelmar Mabry, Burnis Mabry, and Wilma Bowling.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Talmage's life on Monday, January 12, from 5-7 p.m., with service immediately following, at the O.R. Woodyard Co. South High Chapel, 1346 S. High St., Columbus, OH 43207.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 13, at 12:00 noon, Chaffins Cemetery, near 2290 Little White Oak Road, Greenup, Kentucky, 41144. Family will receive friends at Load Volunteer Fire Department, 16486 State Route7, Greenup, KY after graveside service.
