Thomas E. Cox, age 77, passed away Friday,  August 14, 2026  peacefully at his residence.  Tom loved his church family and was an active member of the Shadeville Church of God for 42 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He retired from Republic Waste Management.Survived by his spouse, Joann; stepchildren, Terry (Shari) Bentley, Randy Bentley, Brian (Michelle) Bentley, Lori Everett, Jeff (Lisa) Bentley and Scott Bentley (Julie): brother-in-law, Gerald McKorkle; numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; siblings, Jo Ann (Jack) Ehermantraut, Linda Buettner, Donald (Paula) Cox and Kathy (Steve) Dain; numerous nieces nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John F. and Sarah Elizabeth Cox;  sisters, Elizabeth Ann Jamison and Rebecca Sue McCorkle and brother-in-law, Harry Buettner; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Bentley; son-in-law, Jim Everett.Visitation will be Tuesday, August 18, 2026 from 11 am until time of the funeral service at 12:45 pm at the Shadeville Church of God 4800 Lockbourne Rd. Columbus, Ohio 43207. Interment will follow in Alton Cemetery in Galloway.
