Thomas Spradlin, age 93, passed away May 20, 2022 at his residence. He was born June 10, 1928 to Roland and Alma Spradlin in Worthington, KY where he was raised. At the age of 17 he was inducted into the U S Navy. He served in Korea, the Philippines and Japan mostly ship bound. He was a WWII Veteran, Seaman 1st Class, entering the service from January 1945 thru July 1946. It was not until later in life that he began to talk about the war. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Hinty Spradlin October 21, 1995; his oldest daughter, Donna Spradlin Keglovich and his youngest son, Roland H. Spradlin. He is survived by his wife, Patti Swift Spradlin; daughter, Deborah (Ron) Spradlin Orick of Columbus; son, Thomas (Regina) Spradlin Jr. of Creola, Ohio; 9 grandchildren, Glenn Keglovich Jr., Lisa Keglovich Temple, Thomas Spradlin III, Clarissa Spradlin Brown, Laura Orick Wilkins, Ronnie Orick II, Julie Spradlin, Troy Spradlin and Roland Spradlin Jr.; sons-in-law, Glenn Keglovich Sr. and Ron Orick; daughters-in-law, Regina Ison Spradlin and Sara Spradlin; 10 great grandchildren and one on the way; 2 great great grandchildren and one on the way; brother-in-law, Clyde (Judy) Graham. Thomas was a Bishop at the Ohio Apostolic Church of Jesus at 793 Parsons Ave. Columbus, Ohio. He worked as a meat cutter at Armours, Teeters & Ohio Packing where he retired. He worked a secular job to help support the needs of his church. He was a very faithful man of God. He loved his daily walks and he loved explaining anything to anyone who would listen. He was a strict dad, but loving and caring and he expected a lot from his children. He was very proud of his kids and only wanted the best for them. Friends may call on Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 11 am until time of the service at 1 pm at the MYERS-WOODYARD FUNERAL HOME 587 Main Street in Groveport followed by interment at Franklin Hills Memorial Gardens.
