Tressie Doreen Cook Adkins, age 93, of Cardington, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2020. Tressie was born in Barboursville, West Virginia to the late William Jasper Cook and Rella Walker Cook. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph V. Adkins and infant son, Richard. Tressie leaves behind to celebrate her life, two sons, Michael (Jane) and Chris; her beloved grandchildren Heather Talbott, Justin, Aaron (Jeannine) and Nathan Adkins, Jennifer Good (Benjamin), Krysti Hagerty, and Richard Adkins; numerous great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Tressie is also survived by her loving niece and best friend, Rosalie Voorhies. Along with being a loving wife and mother, Tressie worked at Abbott Labs for 28 years. She also loved her daily Bible readings. Tressie lived her life on her own terms. She was loving, strong willed, and independent in all ways, living on her own. She will be truly missed by her family. Family will receive friends on Monday, March 9 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at O.R. Woodyard South Chapel, 1346 S. High St. Columbus, Ohio. Funeral to follow at 1:00 PM. Burial will be at Obetz Cemetery.
