VALERIE BROWN KUHNHEIM born September 28, 1930, Columbus, OH, passed away on March 6, 2025. She is preceded in death by husband Richard Kuhnheim, survived by daughter's Lisa (David Herman), Shari (Doug Gordon), granddaughter Brittany (Brian Mayer), and great grandsons Alexander and Andrew.

Ohio State graduate, B.Sc. Ed. cum laude, president of the all-campus Women's Self Government Assn., selected outstanding Senior Woman in Activities, Vice President of Alpha Lambda Delta freshman scholastic honorary, member of Mirrors, Chimes, and Mortar Board honoraries, and Alpha Xi Delta social sorority. Asst. to the Dean of Women at OSU. Taught Jr. High School in Parma, OH, and substituted at Worthington High School. Member North Broadway United Methodist Church, Sunday School and Bible School teacher, advisor to Jr. and Sr. High leagues and Lakeside counselor. Past President, Columbus Mortar Board Alumnae 2006-2007 and Alpha Xi Delta Alumnae. Past President, Service Board Buckeye Boys Ranch and member of Trustees Secretary of Division of Symphony Club of Central Ohio. Volunteer at Ohio Cancer Information Center at OSU. Administrative Coordinator of Ohio Literacy Network and liaison with Columbus Literacy Initiative and Columbus Literacy Council. Member Board of Trustees of Ohio Breathing Assn. (formerly Central Ohio Lung Assn.) Recipient of Woman of the Year Award in 2001 from Upper Arlington Rotary Club. Member of the Adventurers.
