Obituary

Vaughn Paul Beloat, 74, of Winchester Canal, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 3, 2024. Born June 20, 1949, Vaughn was a son of the late John and Kay Beloat. He was a graduate of Marion Franklin High School and a proud Vietnam Army Veteran. Vaughn is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Matthew Beloat and Megan Shelton, and grandchildren, Mason, Marshall, and a granddaughter arriving in September, all of Jonesborough, Tennessee, and Megan Beloat, of Elizabethton, Tennessee. He is also survived by his siblings: Don, Kevin, Marty, and Pam, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Per Vaughn's wishes, he was cremated and no viewing was held. His remains will be privately buried in Mountain Home National Cemetery in Johnson City, Tennessee, as a final tribute to his service to his country. Friends and family wishing to gather to remember Vaughn will do so in a casual time of remembrance on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at the American Legion Post 144, 3253 South High Street, Columbus, from 11am -1pm.
