Vincent James Mennetti, age 94, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025.  Member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Groveport.

He was born on June 22, 1930, in Mansfield, Ohio to Peter and Elizabeth (Sposito) Mennetti.

Vincent graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1949.  Enlisted in the Coast Guard 1951 -1954 which included serving during the Korean War.

He went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Education in 1957 and received his Master of Arts in 1974 from Ohio State University.

Vincent worked for Columbus Ohio Development Center from July 1, 1960 and retired January 31, 1988.

In his spare time, Vincent enjoyed volunteering with the Knights of Columbus, gardening, doing card shows, he was involved in the church and spent time with his grandchildren and family.

Vincent is survived by children, Jeffrey (Cindy) Mennetti, Rhonda Cain, Mary Mennetti and Judy (Jeff) Newman,  grandchildren Jennifer(Jason) Smith, Elizabeth(Buddy) Goff, Brandon Simpson, Justine(Heather) Simpson, Ben Cain, Nick Mennetti, Nicholas Newman(Jenna Hilty), Matthew(Anandita)Newman, Katilynn Brisson, Daniel Newman(Claire Schmitt), Thomas Newman and 5 great-grandchildren.  Vincent is preceded in death by his parents Peter & Elizabeth Mennetti, his wife Wanda Mennetti spouse of 57 years, and his siblings Mary Mennetti, Antoinette Reynolds, Jennie Petrella, Emmett Mennetti and Pauline Wayton.

The family wants to thank Suncrest Hospice and the wonderful staff at Violet Springs Campus.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 9, 2025, from 4 to 7 P.M. at Myers-Woodyard Funeral Home 587 Main St. Groveport, Ohio with a Vigil Service at 6:45 pm.   Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 600 Hill Rd N, Pickerington, Ohio 43147. Fr. Sunder Ery officiating. Interment Groveport Cemetery, 655 Blacklick Street, Groveport, OH  43125.
