Vivian Eunice
Schaefer
Jan 5, 1927 — Dec 29, 2025
Vivian Schaefer, 98, of Pataskala, passed away on December 29, 2025. She was born on January 5, 1927 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Ray Stambaugh Sr. and Nova Boggs. She worked as a Fuse Maker for Western Electric, retiring after 25 years of service. Vivian was known for her deep faith in Christ. Her life was faith oriented, constantly reading and learning lessons of faith from her Bible. She was a prayer warrior who prayed fervently, sometimes out loud, for her family, her relatives, her friends, and herself. She was a regular at the One Purpose Community Church in Pataskala, Ohio, until health didn't permit it.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, Ray Sr. and Nova Stambaugh; and out-lived her brothers, Ray "Junior" Stambaugh, Edgell Stambaugh, Howard Stambaugh; and her sisters, Lillian Myer, and Maxine Coleman.
Those left to treasure her memories are her daughter, Pamela Ruth Thompson; her son, Gary (Debbie) Thompson; her grandchildren, Shane (Lorie) Johnson; her great-grandchildren, Cody (Cena), Cameron, Kaia, Shawn Lily, and Nicole Thompson; her great-great-grandchildren, Lilliana, and Carter; her nephew, Greg (Jimsy) Myers--her favorite and his two daughters; and her nieces, Debbie Coleman, and Diane Stambaugh; and Uncle Mark (Lisa); and too many friends to count.
Per Vivian's wishes, she will be buried in Violet Cemetery in Pickerington, Ohio in the future.
Pfeifer Woodyard Funeral Home is honored to have been entrusted with all arrangements.
