Walter J. Brazalovich, age 80, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2021. He was born on October 22, 1940 to the late Ivan and Olga (Buner) Brazalovich in Fram, Paraguay. Walter immigrated to the United States in 1960 and spent the next 50 years of his life living his life in Saginaw, MI working as an industrial engineer at General Motors. There he started his family by marrying Lyla Kozak with whom he had his first daughter, Debbie. After Lyla's passed following her battle with cancer, Walter remarried Lidia Chripczuk with whom he completed his family with their daughter, Jessica. Walter was a brilliant mathematician who instilled a love of learning in his daughters. He was active in his church and a joyful member of the church choir. In his free time, Walter loved to travel and never met a stranger who he didn't quickly turn into a friend with his extroverted nature. On Easter of 2010, Walter suffered a major stroke and spent the next 11 years of his life being cared for by his loving wife while living close to his children and grandchildren in Dublin, Ohio. His last years were peacefully spent playing board games with his family, faithfully tuning in to watch Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune every night, and spending time going to church with his wife. Walter is preceded in death by his first wife Lyla, parents, Ivan and Olga, and his sisters, Luba and Nadia. Walter is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Lidia; daughters and their husbands, Debbie (Eric) Gingerich and Jessica (Ryan Edwards) Brazalovich; grandchildren, Ethan and Lily Gingerich; siblings, John, Pedro, Viera, and Eugenia; and may other dear friends and family.
